The Reputation Officer is responsible for day-to-day tasks to support Pay.UK protect and enhance its reputation internally and externally. They will help provide colleagues with the tools to engage and support the organisation and its objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in crafting and executing both strategic and responsive internal and external communication efforts.
  • Support the delivery of a strategic internal communications plan for Pay.UK and day-to-day internal communications activity, including updating the intranet and delivering drum-beat communications, ad hoc campaigns, and internal messaging.
  • Oversight of the communications portal (AskComms) and press mailboxes.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to gather information for Executive briefings for meetings, events, media and political engagements.
  • Day-to-day contact for the retained PR/PA agency.
  • Facilitate timely and engaged media interactions, interviews, oversight, and training in collaboration with the retained agency.
  • Help deliver Pay.UK’s public affairs approach.
  • Scan, highlight and share pertinent media/political developments with relevant teams across the organisation.
  • Support the wider Communications team to gather and disseminate information, and deliver projects internally and externally.
  • Support integrated communications campaigns across the organisation in an agile fashion, working in a matrix environment to ensure seamless and coordinated delivery.
  • Use evaluation tools to ensure the effectiveness of communications.
  • Be a brand ambassador for Pay.UK.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Business relevant qualification to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a communications team in an agile fashion, and working with outsourced agencies.
  • Ability to distil information from different sources.
  • Experience in payments or the financial services sector.
  • Motivated communications professional.
  • Collaborative worker, able to build relationships across the organisation.
  • Attention to detail, lateral thinker and ability to quickly grasp new and different concepts, and bring together different strands of information.
  • Ability to work on several projects, requests and outputs at once.
  • Able to support the team to deliver within tight constraints.
