We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract to play a pivotal role in advancing Pay.
UK’s Continuous Improvement strategic pillar, driving lasting enhancements to processes, operational efficiency, and organisational effectiveness.
You will enter a setting where detailed analysis, well‑organised documentation, and close teamwork are important.
If you are experienced in turning complex business needs into well‑defined requirements and supporting delivery across multiple stakeholders, this is a chance to do that work in an essential national payments context.
- Accountabilities
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements for change initiatives across payment systems, services or supporting processes.
- Translate business needs into clear process maps, user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Review current processes and identify gaps, dependencies, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements, test assumptions and build shared understanding.
- Work closely with delivery, product, technology and operational teams to support solution design and implementation.
- Prepare accurate impact assessments, options papers and business analysis artefacts to support decision‑making.
- Support testing activities by defining business scenarios, validating outcomes and confirming requirements traceability.
- Maintain clear documentation and change controls so that decisions, requirements and actions are easy to follow.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Business analysis capabilities on complex change or transformation programmes, including requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, and delivery support.
- Eliciting, documenting and managing business requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria for change initiatives.
- Facilitating requirements workshops and working with cross‑functional stakeholders to clarify priorities, resolve issues and build agreement.
- Experience assessing business processes, impacts, risks and dependencies, and producing clear analysis to support decision‑making.
- Experience supporting delivery through business analysis documentation, test scenario definition, outcome validation and requirements traceability.
