Key Accountabilities
- To conduct analysis using structured techniques and pragmatic application of best practice standards to define business problems, identify potential solution options and associated evaluation criteria for small to medium sized projects.
- To shape problems and opportunities into change and to support the creation of initial business cases and full business cases.
- To work with stakeholders to translate strategic goals into investment priorities, delivery and outcome requirements, project and programme definitions, delivery plans, testing and acceptance plans and benefits realisation plans.
- To provide documentation as appropriate in accordance with Pay.UK change delivery standards and other corporate governance policies.
- To work with project and programme managers to shape and manage the delivery plans, associated risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management.
- To support the Project Manager with key project tasks, initiatives and outputs, delivery plans, associated risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management.
- To support the gathering, analysis and sharing (via the EPMO) of Lessons Learned throughout delivery.
- Support and work with your BA colleagues, building a community, sharing best practice and learning from each other’s experiences.
- To support the effort to grow capability in the Change Team and the Pay.UK Directorates.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience in business analysis within retail banking, payments, financial services or similar regulated industry.
- Experience of both large programmes (100+ people) working on a specific workstream or smaller projects (>10) working across the project lifecycle.
- Experienced in Business Analysis: requirements definition and specification for products and outcomes, problem solving, option construction and evaluation, impact analysis, product and outcome evaluation criteria, testing, strategy alignment, planning and implementation.
- Experienced in the production of associated documentation at a project and programme level, combining business and technical viewpoints and outcomes, complying with regulatory requirements as necessary.
- Pragmatically uses best practice analysis techniques and structured frameworks.
- Ability to ‘future-proof’ design and partner with technical architects and other specialists.
- A range of projects and programmes from small scale through to large, complex business transformation programmes.
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders, regulators and industry participant teams.
- Interviewing, listening, influencing.
- Stakeholder relationship building at all levels.
