We are looking for an experienced and reliable Floor Layer to join our team, covering domestic properties across Cardiff, Swansea and Newport.

The ideal candidate will have experience fitting a range of flooring, including carpet, vinyl and laminate, and be confident measuring, cutting and installing flooring to a high standard.

You will collect your work and materials from our Cardiff branch at 39 Cilfynydd Road, Albion Industrial Estate, Pontypridd, CF37 4NX, before travelling to customers' homes across the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and accurately calculate the required flooring materials.
  • Prepare subfloors for installation, including levelling and cleaning.
  • Install carpet, vinyl and laminate flooring according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Cut and fit flooring materials around obstacles and into corners.
  • Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard of quality and within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with our customers and branch manager.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Floor Layer.
  • Proficient in installing laminate, carpet, and vinyl flooring.
  • Ability to accurately measure and calculate materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
