About the role
Join our team in Brighton where you will manage the lifecycle of our software products, driving strategy, development, and delivery to ensure they meet customer, market, and business needs.
- Own the full lifecycle of one or more software products, from discovery through to launch, iteration and end-of-life.
- Act as Product Owner for your product area, owning the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and ensuring alignment with customer and business needs.
- Lead agile delivery through clear user stories, prioritised backlogs, sprint planning, and close collaboration with engineering teams.
- Use Jira to manage sprints, dependencies, reporting, and release planning.
- Monitor product performance using KPIs such as adoption, usage, customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
- Translate customer, market, and business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and architecture teams to support API design, integrations, scalability, and technical decision-making.
- Manage the Change Control Board (CCB) process, including impact assessments and priority decisions for software changes.
- Visit end users, installers, and key customers to gather insights, feedback and usage data to influence product direction.
- Work cross-functionally with Development, Marketing, Sales, Support and Information Design to ensure solutions are technically strong, user-centred and commercially viable.
- Support marketing teams with product messaging, positioning, and the creation of accurate value propositions.
- Produce and maintain product documentation including requirements, release notes, API inputs and internal training materials.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience as a Product Manager / Product Owner delivering software products, with strong backlog ownership and sprint planning capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business and customer value.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance customer needs, technical constraints, and commercial priorities.
- Confident working with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, architecture and senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, with experience in SaaS, APIs, or cloud-based platforms beneficial.
