About the role:
Based in our Brighton office, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI reporting solutions that meet business needs and align with our Data & Analytics standards. You’ll take ownership of a significant proportion of business‑as‑usual reporting, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver accurate, reliable, and well‑documented insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, enhancing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models.
- Delivering BAU reporting requests in line with agreed standards, naming conventions, and development practices.
- Translating business requirements into effective reporting solutions, seeking guidance where appropriate.
- Building and maintaining data models, Power Query transformations, and DAX measures.
- Testing and validating reports and datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and fitness for purpose.
- Troubleshooting and resolving report issues, refresh failures, and user‑reported defects.
- Optimising report performance, usability, and presentation for a great end‑user experience.
- Producing and maintaining clear documentation for reports, datasets, and business logic.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve reporting solutions.
- Supporting the rationalisation and standardisation of reporting to reduce duplication and improve consistency.
What can you expect from this role?
- The opportunity to work as part of a growing Data & Analytics function focused on a “single version of the truth”.
- Exposure to a wide range of business areas, stakeholders, and data sources across the organisation.
- Scope to broaden your skills into wider Microsoft Power Platform technologies as the team and business evolve.
What are we looking for?
- Practical experience developing Power BI solutions in a business environment.
- Strong hands‑on skills in Power BI, including data modelling, Power Query, and DAX, alongside good SQL capability.
- Experience working with structured data from multiple sources and presenting insights clearly to different audiences.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- The right attitude is more important to us than your skills or experience. If you’re excited about a role but your existing experience doesn’t match up with every element of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
We want to collaborate with you and hear your ideas; most of all, we want people to enjoy the journey with us.
