This remote-based role offers flexibility, with access to Paxton\'s modern offices and facilities in Brighton, Sussex, when needed.

Responsibilities
- Developing and modifying firmware architectures for technologies like ARM Cortex-A/M, RTOS, SPI, I2C, UART, WIEGAND, and Raspberry Pi.
- Designing, testing, and debugging electronic circuits and PCB layouts using tools like Circuit Studio, Proteus, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Collaborating with the Development team to propose solutions, identify risks, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Communicating technical changes effectively and supporting team members in their deliverables.
- Attending monthly onsite team meetings in Eastbourne to discuss products, improvements and future developments.
- Proven experience in embedded systems design, programming (C, Python, RTOS, bare metal, MQTT), and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with IDEs such as Keil uVision, PyCharm, and circuit/PCB design.
- Hands-on debugging and soldering skills.
- A confident decision-maker with strong communication and collaboration abilities, driven by continuous personal and technical growth.
- Based within the South East and able to commit to monthly onsite meetings in Eastbourne.
