At Pax8 we’re expanding in Bristol and looking for a Senior Channel Account Manager who wants more than just a sales role. This is your chance to become a true growth architect for our MSP & MIP partners. This isn’t about pushing products. It’s about shaping the future of cloud businesses.
This is a hybrid role, blending flexibility with connection. You’ll spend at least three days a week in our vibrant Bristol office, immersed in a high-performing team environment where ideas move fast, energy is contagious, and success is shared. Our purpose is to help every small business turn their dreams into reality through the power of technology.
Why this role is a big deal
This isn’t a traditional Channel Account Manager role. At this CAM level, you’ll be the person MSP & MIP leadership teams call when they want to reshape their services, grow recurring revenue, and deepen their security-led offerings. You’ll work in a high-trust, high-impact space where partners increasingly invite Pax8 into conversations with their end customers, because they see us as genuine advisors, not just vendors. You’ll also never be selling alone. You’ll be backed by an incredible enablement engine – solution consultants, technical pre-sales, professional services, and our Microsoft alliance that our competitors simply can’t match.
What You’ll Be Doing Day To Day
- Act as a strategic advisor to a portfolio of MSP & MIP partners, understanding their business models, margins, and service gaps, then shaping cloud and security-led solutions that move the needle for them and their customers.
- Own and manage the full sales cycle from identifying new opportunities in partner books of business, through multi-stakeholder engagement, to closing high-value, recurring revenue deals.
- Lead complex conversations that bring together business owners, technical leaders, and commercial stakeholders tailoring your message to each while keeping everyone aligned on the same outcome.
- Identify and unlock upsell and cross-sell opportunities by spotting patterns in how partners currently operate and where they can level up their offerings or pricing.
- Collaborate with our internal experts (solution consultants, technical pre-sales, professional services, and alliance teams) to design compelling, secure, and scalable solutions.
- Leverage data and your funnel to run a disciplined 30/60/90-day pipeline, prioritising high-impact opportunities and constantly refining where you focus your time.
- Contribute to the wider CAM team sharing what’s working, supporting others on complex deals, and helping to raise the bar for what “great” looks like at this level.
The impact you’ll have
Success in this role goes way beyond “hitting target”. When you’re at your best here, you will:
- Help partners shift from reactive, “my PC is broken” conversations into fully managed, security-led services with real recurring value.
- Shape how MSPs & MIP’s talk to their own customers about risk, resilience, and growth, often joining those conversations directly as a trusted voice at the table.
- Influence how Pax8 shows up in the market by using our enablement ecosystem in smart, creative ways that competitors struggle to match.
- Set a high bar for CAM capability at Pax8; this level CAM is benchmarked against top performers and is a clear signal of consultative, commercially sophisticated selling.
This is a role you earn, not inherit and it’s a platform for future strategic or enterprise-level opportunities if that’s the direction you want to grow in.
What Helps You Thrive In This Role
You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll be a great fit if most of this sounds like you:
- You have substantial experience in business-to-business sales, business development, or account management, ideally in technology, cloud, or managed services.
- You’re comfortable navigating complex conversations that span vision, architecture, revenue, and risk, not just price.
- You can talk credibly about cloud, security, and managed services and you’re excited to keep deepening that knowledge with the support of specialists around you.
- You’re skilled at multi-persona stakeholder management you can reassure a finance leader about numbers, inspire a business owner about growth, and gain the confidence of a technical director on solution fit.
- You naturally look for gaps and patterns in how a partner operates and can turn those into clear, commercially compelling next steps.
- You’re collaborative, open to feedback, and happy to share what you’ve learned so others can benefit too.
- You recognise yourself in our behaviours – Compassionate Candor, Seek to Understand, We Before Me, Do What You Say, Light Up Learning, and Driven by Passion.
We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet 100% of the criteria. We’re committed to diverse perspectives, inclusive hiring and sharing your transferable skills. To fulfil this role, you must hold valid right to work in the UK.
