Are you the kind of person who sees a problem and can't help but sketch out three ways to solve it? Pax8 is not looking for someone who delivers training. We're looking for a performance detective - someone who can read a room, spot where a team is struggling, and come up with something genuinely fresh to close the gap. Sometimes that's a workshop. Sometimes it's a digital tool. Sometimes it's an AI agent. Sometimes it's none of the above.
If you've ever rolled your eyes at a 32-page learning strategy doc and thought '...or we could just try something,' keep reading.
What you'd actually be doing as our Learning Experience Specialist
- Identify - get curious, talk to people, find where the real performance gaps are (not the ones people say they have).
- Design - build the solution. Could be a session, a piece of digital content, an AI-powered tool, a curated path. You decide what fits.
- Deliver - facilitate it, ship it, measure it, iterate. Then onto the next puzzle.
No two days will look the same. One day you're prototyping in PowerPoint, the next you're in front of a room facilitating, the next you're elbow-deep in data, the next you're building an AI agent to support a colleague's workshop. If you need a predictable 9-to-5, this won't be your favourite job.
What's in it for you
- Frontier AI exposure, for real. Pax8 is genuinely ahead of the curve on AI adoption - you won't be the only 'AI curious' person in the room, you'll be surrounded by people building with it daily. For an L&D professional, that's a serious string to your bow.
- Variety that actually means variety. Leadership programmes one week, workforce capability the next, global stakeholders, virtual delivery, occasional face-to-face - you get to keep your craft sharp across the full L&D spectrum.
What helps you thrive in this role
- Creative flair. You see things differently. You come up with the idea no one else thought of.
- Curious. About people, about problems, about AI, about how learning actually lands.
- Confident facilitator. Comfortable in front of a room - virtual or in person.
- A maker. You can create and curate digital content. You're hands-on, not just strategic.
- AI-curious (and then some). You don't need to have built production AI agents - but 'I use ChatGPT sometimes' isn't quite enough. We want someone who's poked around, asked 'what else could this do?'
- Resilient and self-sufficient. Pax8 moves fast. You're someone who can feel the temperature of the room and run with it.
If you read this and thought 'that sounds like me,' we'd love to hear from you.
And here's a small invitation - when you apply, tell us 'If you could design a learning experience on any topic, for any audience, with no constraints - what would you choose and how would you design and deliver it?' We'd much rather see how you think than read another bullet list.
We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet 100% of the criteria. We’re committed to diverse perspectives, inclusive hiring and sharing your transferrable skills.
In order to fulfil this role you should be resident in this country with a valid right to work.
This role is based in Bristol, with a hybrid working pattern. You’ll spend meaningful time collaborating in person with colleagues 3 days a week, while also having the flexibility to work from home.
There’s extensive room for a talented individual to grow at pace whether that’s advancing quickly in this role or exploring one of the many opportunities across our global organisation.
