Java Developer - Mid Level in Bristol

Pax2… is recruiting a Java Developer to work on how our services and integrations are built. We are a small team working in an agile environment.

Here is the job description to format for quality standards:

We\’re heavily focused on aggregating APIs; both designing our own and integrating those offered by suppliers (airlines etc). We also love aggregating data; importing/exporting and all steps in between.

AuthorityMid Level

Experience with our stack is beneficial, this includes:

Java 8+.

Kubernetes / GKE.

Google Cloud Platform.

Spring Boot & Batch.

Postgres, Redis, BigQuery, and Firestore.

Advantageous Skills and ExperienceFamiliarity within the travel industry.

Competencies

Minimum of 2 years professional Java development experience

A sense of ownership, you should care how your code choices affect our customers.

A forward thinking approach, don\’t just accept the status quo, how can we improve our products?

Experience with Git

Experience with CI/CD (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins, etc)

Linux skills, comfortable working in a Linux shell environment

Assigned bugs are fixed in a timely fashion.

Assigned enhancements/project work is completed in a timely fashion.

Functional and Technical specifications for project work are completed to a suitable standard and in a timely fashion.

Code review and static code quality analysis standards met.
