Responsible for developing and implementing the UK channel management strategy to ensure effective execution across distributors and major retail channels. This role oversees distributor lifecycle management, channel governance, merchandising and promotional standards, and capability development, while identifying market opportunities and driving consistent execution aligned with business objectives.

Manage the full distributor lifecycle, including partner recruitment, onboarding, performance management, capability development, and exit management.
Establish and continuously optimise distributor governance frameworks, ensuring partners have the necessary product knowledge, commercial capabilities and operational support to achieve business objectives.
Oversee the execution of retail initiatives across major supermarket and retail channels, including product listings, merchandising, in-store display, and promotional activities, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Monitor and evaluate regional channel performance to ensure channel strategies and commercial policies are effectively implemented.
Conduct market, customer, and channel analysis to identify growth opportunities, operational risks, and areas for continuous improvement.
Develop practical channel development plans and recommend strategic actions to improve channel efficiency, retail execution, and business performance.
Collaborate with internal commercial, sales, and marketing teams to ensure consistent execution of channel initiatives and alignment with overall business objectives.
- 5+ years' experience in Channel Management, Distributor Management, Regional Sales Management, or a related commercial function within FMCG, tobacco, or other consumer goods industries.
- Proven experience managing distributors or channel partners throughout the full partnership lifecycle, including recruitment, capability development, performance management and governance.
- Strong understanding of UK FMCG distribution models, retail channels, and channel operating principles.
- Demonstrated experience developing channel policies, distributor management frameworks, and execution standards.
- Experience supporting retail execution activities such as product listings, merchandising, in-store display, and promotional programmes across major retail channels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess channel performance, identify commercial opportunities, and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
