Act as the legal representative for PAX, partnering with UK law firms and internal teams to conduct anti-counterfeiting operations. You will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal contracts with UK counterparties for various business scenarios and ensuring full legal compliance for the company’s UK operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage UK/EU IP compliance, trademark/copyright/infringement legal assessment and enforcement.
- Serve as the company’s legal representative, lead brand protection practices.
- Collaborate with external UK law firms and internal teams to push and coordinate activities such as anti-counterfeiting enforcement, evidence collection, cease & desist letters, platform takedown, domain dispute, and infringement dispute resolution.
- Handle UK civil litigation, arbitration, court advocacy, and local legal liaison; tackle complex infringement cases with assertive legal strategy.
- Monitor UK/EU legal & regulatory updates, maintain communication with local authorities and e-commerce platforms.
- Identify potential compliance risks and deliver professional legal advice to support the company’s lawful operation in the UK market.
- Maintain regular communication with external law firms and business partners, and sustain long-term legal cooperation relationships.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the UK legal system and business practices, established valuable local networks, and holds full eligibility to work full-time in the UK.
- Qualified as Solicitor of England and Wales with 3+ years PQE.
- Higher Courts Civil Advocacy qualification is a plus.
- Proficient in UK/EU commercial law, IP law, and civil procedure; a formal IP law academic background is a plus.
- Familiar with intellectual property protection and anti-counterfeiting procedures.
- Relevant experience in handling infringement and anti-counterfeiting cases is highly preferred.
- Solid experience in commercial dispute resolution, litigation & arbitration; background in brand protection, anti-counterfeiting.
- Experience in consumer electronics/cross-border e-commerce industry is a strong plus.
- Assertive mindset for brand enforcement, able to handle multi-layer infringement chains and push enforcement forward legally.
- Proficient in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, capable of independently handling legal documentation and routine legal affairs across different scenarios.
