Overview

Registered Veterinary Nurse – Pawvet Clinic, Muswell Hill

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, award-winning team at Pawvet Clinic, Muswell Hill. If you’re passionate about patient care and excited by the opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive environment, this role is for you.

At Pawvet you’ll enjoy a varied caseload, from orthopaedics (TPLOs, fracture repairs), complex medical cases, keyhole (laparoscopic) spays, to intensive care and emergency work. Whether you love surgery, anaesthesia, wards, or emergency nursing – or you enjoy being an all-rounder – we’ll support your interests and help you shape the RVN career you’re striving for.

Our purpose-built clinic is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic kit, in-house laboratory, dedicated dog and cat wards, and a Wellness Ward where owners can stay with their pets during hospitalisation. We also work closely with referral clinicians and visiting specialists, giving you the opportunity to be involved in advanced procedures and collaborative cases.

There’s genuine scope to progress into roles such as Lead or Senior RVN, specialise in Theatre or Ward nursing, or even move into practice management down the line. We are also working towards being a Fear Free practice, so if optimising patient comfort and care is your passion, you’ll feel right at home here.

You’ll be supported by our team of talented vets (including those with advanced training in surgery and medicine), compassionate RVNs, proactive PCAs, and a dedicated client care team – so you can focus on nursing rather than reception work.

We encourage and invest in clinical coaching, CPD, and further certification to help you progress in the direction that excites you most.

Why Join Us?

  • Salary up to £36,000 DOE
  • 4-day week with 1:4 weekends (TOIL for weekends worked)
  • Work in a modern, independent, family-run practice with excellent facilities
  • Be part of a close-knit, supportive team
  • Fantastic career development opportunities, including CPD, certificate funding, and clear progression pathways

About You

  • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence in emergency situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to delivering the very best patient care
