Join us as a Pain Management Clinician and become part of a team with ambitions to be pioneers in pet care. This is a specialised role focused on delivering expert, personalised care for dogs that have pain management needs. Here, you’ll champion holistic wellness programs, enhance operational excellence, and make a lasting impact on pets’ lives. Your expertise will play a key role in improving the relationship between dogs and their owners through positive, evidence-based training and pain management interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multidisciplinary Pain Assessments and Pain Consultations.
  • Acupuncture clinics.
  • Provide clinical and professional pain consultations for clients and their pets, ensuring a seamless and memorable journey at every touchpoint.
  • Participate in a unique and engaging pet wellness journey.
  • Develop and implement Tailored Pain Management Plans.
  • Provide clients with expert and comprehensive pain advice and education in a clear, friendly and expert manner.
  • Prepare, organise, and deliver pet-related documentation with precision and care.
  • Deliver follow up appointments and reassessments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure a welcoming, home-like environment.
  • Participate in delivering pain management-based learning for in-house colleagues and contribute to internal and external CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events.
  • Fulfil CPD requirements in line with the recommendations of your governing body, tailored to both personal and business development needs.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Wellness advisers (RVN), Veterinary Physiotherapists specialising in small animals (ACPAT Cat A and/or RAMP), Canine Hydrotherapists, Groomers and Veterinary Behaviourists.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • MRCVS with interest or further qualifications in pain management.
  • Experience of pain clinics 2 to 3 years.
  • Acupuncture training.
  • RCVS/ECVAA specialist with experience of pain clinics (desirable).
