We’re now ready to welcome an experienced Sales Account Manager who’s excited to help scale our wholesale business, expand our family of stockists and drive real commercial results.

The Role

The Sales Account Manager (Wholesale) is responsible for driving growth across the independent retail sector by proactively prospecting, pitching, onboarding and managing new wholesale accounts.

Working closely with our National Account Manager (Matt), you’ll help expand the reach of Pawprint Family’s micro-collectibles into shops, visitor attractions, tourist destinations, and other key retail partners.

Your role will combine relationship building, research, outreach, and account nurturing — ensuring every retailer feels supported, valued, excited to stock our products and, most importantly - part of the family.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development
  • Proactively research, identify, and reach out to potential independent retail partners.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective wholesale accounts.
  • Deliver engaging pitches that clearly communicate the value of Pawprint Family products.
  • Convert warm and cold leads into new stockists through confident, relationship-led selling.
  • Conduct regular outreach via phone, email, social, and in-person visits where appropriate.
  • Attend trade shows, events, and retail shows to generate leads and convert opportunities.
  • Account Management
  • Support new accounts through their onboarding and initial ordering process.
  • Provide product recommendations, merchandising advice, and tailored support to help retailers perform well.
  • Handle incoming enquiries from independent retailers, ensuring quick and friendly responses.
  • Maintain strong ongoing relationships, encouraging reorders and growth within each account.
  • Keep accurate records of interactions, pipelines, notes, and account performance.
  • Work closely with the National Account Manager (Matt) to ensure alignment across wholesale strategy.
  • Share insights on independent retail trends, customer needs, and product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to optimise wholesale experience and customer satisfaction.
  • Support Matt with national accounts where required (e. g., preparing pitches, prospecting, follow-ups).
  • Administration & Reporting
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates for internal review.
  • Track KPIs such as number of new accounts opened, lead conversion rate, and average order value.
  • Keep wholesale data up to date, ensuring accuracy and strong communication between teams.
  • Enterting data and updating CRM systems.

About You

  • Confident in outbound sales — particularly cold outreach and lead generation.
  • Friendly, approachable, and confident in conversation. with strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Highly organised, with excellent pipeline management and follow-through.
  • Self-motivated and proactive — excited by the challenge of opening new accounts.
  • Comfortable working to targets while maintaining warm, relationship-first communication, target-driven but genuinely invested in helping retailers succeed.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and aligned with Pawprint Family’s mission to inspire fun, learning, and creativity.
  • Experience selling into independent retail, gift shops, or visitor attractions.
  • Knowledge of wholesale pricing, order processes, and retailer needs.
  • Experience attending and/or selling at trade shows.
  • Experience or knowledge of badges/patches and pin collecting or voluntary youth organisations.
  • A love of children's brands and literary characters.
  • Experience using CRM systems (any platform).
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for store visits and events.
