The Role You\’ll Play as a YCS Team Lead
As a Youth Community Services (YCS) Team Leader at Pawnee, you’ll take on a dual role: providing direct case management services to youth with severe emotional disturbances, while also leading and mentoring a team of case managers. In your clinical work, you’ll empower youth and families to connect with community resources, set meaningful treatment goals, and navigate challenges toward personal success.
As a team leader, you’ll also collaborate with your supervisor to support staff development, monitor service delivery, and foster team competency. From coordinating training to supporting your peers through crisis response, you’ll help shape the quality and consistency of care we provide to our communities.
The Day-to-Day
- Deliver case management services to youth and families by building strong, trusting relationships and supporting them through treatment planning, care coordination, and connection to community resources.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record, and assist clients in accessing essential benefits.
- Supervise a team of case managers by providing onboarding, training, and ongoing support, while monitoring productivity and documentation to ensure quality care and compliance with agency standards.
- Participate in clinical supervision, program staffing, and relevant internal or external meetings.
- Assist with hiring, coaching, and disciplinary processes in partnership with your supervisor.
- Provide leadership in crisis situations and foster a collaborative, resilient team environment..

Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent work experience
- Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and automobile liability insurance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic computer skills

- Knowledge of the needs and challenges of youth who experience severe emotional disturbances
- Experience with Microsoft Office
