Head of Delegated Authority

I am excited to be partnering with a leading writer of Property and Casualty reinsurance, who has had presence in the market for over 25 years. This role offers the chance to lead an exciting new project for providing strategy and support across all aspects of the delegated Underwriting process.

A key aspect of the role will be management of both the Underwriting Business Services (UBS) and Delegated Authority (DA) teams.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and support across all aspects of the delegated underwriting process

• Oversee the onboarding process for Coverholders/MGAs, ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s methodology

• Manage both underwriting and operational audits, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency

• Collaborate with senior leadership, including the CEO, to drive business objectives and strategic initiatives

Extensive experience in delegated underwriting, preferably within the Lloyd’s market, with an understanding of the regulatory environment and Coverholder network

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams

• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with senior stakeholders and partners
