Job Description
We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading insurance business based in the City. Due to continued growth and an internal project they are looking to recruit a Treasury Manager on a 9 month FTC. Please note there is a likelihood / possibility that the role will continue towards 12 months due to the nature of the project. This role will include x1 direct report (Treasury Analyst). This role will require you to work from the office a maximum of 2 days per week with flex around that.
Role overview below:
- Lead global and regional cashflow forecasting to assess funding requirements and manage total borrowings.
- Prepare and analyse weekly cashflow reports for Finance Management
- Monitor group cash balances, optimising surplus funds for growth investments or debt reduction
- Support investment and M&A activity, providing funding recommendations
- Manage banking systems, debt facility drawdowns, and repayments
- Maximise interest income by securing the most competitive rates from banking partners
- Lead strategies to minimise interest rate risk
- Advise on hedging requirements for external borrowing
- Monitor market fluctuations and assess impact on cashflows
- Forecast interest costs on debt facilities and manage leverage expectations
- Ensure optimal FX exposure management in line with policy
- Monitor and manage hedging requirements to stabilise effective FX rates
- Collaborate with the business on hedging levels and cashflow forecasting
- Oversee FX transactions and produce Board updates
Experience and skillset:
- Demonstrable Treasury experience from an operational perspective
- FS or Insurance sector knowledge an advantage
- Experience of Cashflow management, FX Hedging and all banking-related activities
- A bonus would be experience of a TMS implementation
