Remote

Reporting into the Head of Risk and Health, this role combines team leadership responsibilities with hands-on client management. The successful individual will proactively manage an existing portfolio of SME clients while delivering a high-quality advisory and consulting service across Group Risk and Healthcare products.

The role will also involve managing insurer relationships and overseeing platform/provider arrangements within the Risk proposition.

  • Strong background within the Group Risk market, either from a consultancy/advisory or insurer/provider environment
  • Previous people management or team leadership experience desirable
  • Excellent understanding of Group Risk products, particularly Group Life and Group Income Protection claims management
  • Strong knowledge of the wider Risk and Healthcare markets
  • Proven ability to build long-term relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, with experience identifying growth opportunities within existing clients and converting prospective business
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and building credibility across a wider business

Day-to-day leadership and management of the SME Risk team, including resource planning, delegation, performance management, development, and employee engagement.

Supporting the wider Risk and Health leadership team in driving forward strategic growth initiatives.

Managing a portfolio of corporate Risk schemes across a range of SME clients.

Supporting new business processes and prospect conversion activity.

Assisting with broader strategic and operational projects, including reporting, technical content, and process improvement initiatives.
