We are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing London Market MGA to recruit a Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will play a key role in the finance team, covering financial reporting and analysis, group reporting, regulatory compliance, and system and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts in compliance with international standards and provide management insights.
- Deliver timely group reporting and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of premium, claims, and commission transactions.
- Reconcile complex underwriting and claims data across internal systems and external partners, supporting multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction accounting.
- Work with international teams to standardise financial processes and support expansion into new markets.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards, support audits, and coordinate tax and VAT filings.
- Drive process improvements, support new financial systems, and maintain strong internal controls.
About You
- Qualified accountant or qualified by experience with proven experience in an MGA, Broker, or Insurer.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance accounting, including premium and claims handling.
- Advanced expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and Excel, with knowledge of international accounting and tax regulations.
