I’m partnered with my client, a growing Lloyd’s business, with a vacancy within their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to take the next step in their career and lead a small team. Given the nature of the role, candidates must be immediately available or on a short notice period. Prior experience in the insurance sector is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up new entities in the ledger and manage journals during close
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in line with international standards
- Draft technical accounting papers and support audit preparation
- Record and reconcile premiums, claims, and commissions accurately
- Handle complex underwriting and claims reconciliations from internal and external sources
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Navigate multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional accounting complexities
- Ensure compliance with local GAAPs and international tax standards
- Liaise with auditors and prepare supporting documentation for audits
- Coordinate VAT and tax filings with advisors across jurisdictions
- Drive process improvements in reporting and reconciliation
- Support implementation of new financial systems
- Maintain strong internal controls and support audit readiness

- Qualified accountant
- Experienced within the Insurance market
- System migration experience advantageous
