An exciting opportunity has arisen with a market-leading, innovative insurer that’s reshaping the UK protection and health insurance market. We’re seeking a dynamic National Account Manager to join their high-performing distribution team and drive new business growth across key intermediary networks, nationals, and service provider channels.
The Role:
As a National Account Manager, you’ll be the strategic lead responsible for growing market share and driving premium income by championing this insurer’s compelling Life and Health proposition. You’ll work closely with internal distribution teams and external partners to develop and execute targeted plans, ensuring deep engagement and strong positioning across assigned accounts. This is a field-based role where you’ll act as the “eyes and ears” within major distribution firms, spotting opportunities, influencing key stakeholders, and shaping the future of protection and health propositions in the intermediary space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new and incremental business across Life and Health product lines
- Increase network market share and build brand advocates within each distributor
- Maintain and enhance panel positions with key accounts
- Develop and execute account-specific marketing and business plans
- Deliver compelling presentations to national firms and member practices
- Collaborate with internal sales teams to share insights, competitor intelligence, and strategic recommendations
- Identify and address any barriers to adoption within intermediary processes or propositions
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or technical roles within the UK intermediary or protection market
- Ideally FPC/QCF4 qualified or equivalent
- Deep understanding of UK protection and health distribution channels
- Proven ability to influence at Board and RI level
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills
- Confident in delivering both sales-focused and technical presentations
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong organisational skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
