A leading London Market Insurer is looking for a motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong controls, and supporting both month-end and year-end processes. You’ll also work closely with multiple business functions and the wider Group Finance Team, contributing to projects that enhance reporting efficiency and overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under UK GAAP/FRS 102.
- Produce statutory accounts for Companies House and support the external audit process.
- Perform month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Review balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support accounting policy adherence.
- Provide guidance to junior team members when required.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
- 4–5 years’ experience in a UK corporate finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102 and statutory reporting.
- Insurance industry experience desirable.
