We are currently partnering with a global insurance business that’s experiencing exciting growth. They’re looking for a Group Risk Manager to join their 2nd Line Risk function. This role would suit someone who has already proven themselves in enterprise or operational risk - someone confident in building strong relationships, influencing senior stakeholders, and offering real challenge, not just passive support.

The Opportunity:

  • Support the development and embedding of the enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite statements, tolerance, and categorisation
  • Lead and facilitate risk assessments across the group, engaging with senior stakeholders and first- and second-line teams
  • Analyse and challenge key risk mitigation strategies, supporting the business in achieving its growth objectives
  • Produce clear and impactful risk reporting for committees and senior management
  • Drive continuous improvement in risk identification, monitoring, and reporting practices
  • Lead root cause analysis for risk events and control weaknesses
  • Help deliver initiatives linked to emerging regulations (e.g., operational resilience, third-party risk, technology risk, and financial crime)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strong experience in enterprise risk management within financial services, preferably insurance
  • Proven ability to implement and enhance risk frameworks across large or growing businesses
