We have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a dynamic, highly acquisitive SME group based in East Sussex. This is a newly created role due to the continued success and growth of the business. Hybrid working (2 days from home).
Reporting into the Finance Director, as the new Financial Controller you will play a key role within the finance function, taking ownership of core financial reporting, compliance, and analysis activities.
- Monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, reconciliations, analysis & KPIs)
- Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts for the Group
- Manage VAT processes, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations and the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Assist with forecasts and rolling budgets
- Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making across the business
