We’re partnering with one of the UK’s fastest‑growing consumer brands to appoint their first in‑house Finance Director — a rare opportunity to join a founder‑led business at a pivotal stage of growth and build a finance function from the ground up. Operating across both e‑commerce and retail, the business has developed a highly engaged customer following and is now entering an exciting new phase of expansion across stores, channels and international markets. This is far more than a traditional FD role. You’ll work directly with the Founders as a true commercial partner, helping shape strategy, drive scalable growth and bring greater financial visibility across a fast‑paced, multi‑channel operation. The role will suit someone equally comfortable operating strategically at board level whilst still being hands‑on day‑to‑day.
The Opportunity
- Build and scale the finance function in a rapidly growing business
- Partner closely with the Founders on commercial strategy and growth plans
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and board reporting
- Drive performance insight across retail, e‑commerce and international operations
- Manage multi‑currency exposure, FX risk and hedging strategies
- Support store rollout, operational efficiencies and international expansion
- Develop scalable financial models to support future investment and growth
- Build and mentor a high‑performing finance team over time
About You
- Existing FD, Head of Finance or senior finance leader within consumer, retail or e‑commerce
- Experience within multi‑site and ideally stock‑led environments
- Strong international exposure including multi‑currency operations
- Experience managing FX and hedging strategies
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence at senior level
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑growth, founder‑led environment
- Hands‑on, ambitious and excited by the opportunity to build something
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to genuinely shape the future of a scaling brand rather than simply maintain an existing finance function. You’ll have significant visibility, autonomy and influence within a business that has ambitious growth plans and a strong entrepreneurial culture.
