Pavilion are partnering with a global leading provider of insurance and reinsurance who have a leading market reputation. They hold a long and successful track record for an extensive range of insurance offerings and are well known for strong skillset development along with technical expert industry knowledge.
Their team of Cyber Claims Specialists are hiring for a Senior Cyber Claims Adjuster to join their collaborative and well-respected team of six to work on a varied and international portfolio of 80% lead cyber claims. Losses can include ransomware, data breaches, business interruption, technology and much more across the US, APAC, Australia, MEA, and the UK. The successful candidate can expect a handling authority of approximately $1,000,000 with autonomy to handle losses reaching the tens of millions upon referral.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide in-depth and expert advice to customers and brokers/intermediaries
- Apply reason to policy terms to negotiate, justify variation to company policy terms and settle non-standard claims
- Facilitate investigations into indemnity issues and implement changes to process in line with strategy
- Contribute to supplier management and to panel selection
- Prevent and recognise fraud and the ability to create new solutions to alleviate
- Apply case law, statutory breaches and the concept of “reasonableness” to the claim circumstances
- Determine if claim is to be disputed and know referral process in these circumstances
- Contribute to setting company reserving level and policy
- Actively seek feedback from customers and brokers/intermediaries to improve customer service
- Identify trends and issues which affect customers
- Audit reports and identify trends to create economical, effective reports which actively contribute towards strategic direction
- Utilise financial reporting information and insurance performance measures in the management of claims
- Conduct effective skill gap analysis for self and others and utilise other skills to plan own professional development
To apply for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate a strong technical understanding of International cyber claims adjusting, or experience in professional and/or financial lines with a strong interest to work in cyber. Also, an ability to work closely with Underwriters and other stakeholders, and a desire for professional development.
