Accountant – 12-month fixed term contract
London/ hybrid
Salary – £50,000 – £55,000
We are pleased to be supporting our client in the recruitment of an Accountant on a 12-month FTC.
The role is varied and encompasses both management & financial accounts. Our client are a London based global Insurance business so experience in Insurance would be an advantage but not essential. They operate a hybrid model so typically 2 days per week in the office.
Ideally you will be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified however latter stage studiers will also be considered (perhaps 1 or 2 exams remaining).
Role overview:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial accounts for company entities and dealing with audit queries in line with the audit timetable
- Process month end journals, across P&L and Balance sheet
- Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts in accordance with control spreadsheet
- Perform regular bank reconciliations over a range of accounts
- Assist with regulatory returns and reporting
- Assisting with the preparation/calculation of the corporation tax for the various entities across various jurisdictions in close liaison with the internal tax teams
Experience & Skills:
- Ideally a qualified or latter stage studier (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
- Experience of Financial & Management Accounts
- Knowledge of the insurance industry would be an advantage but not essential
- Strong Excel skills and experienced in a variety of General ledger systems
- A can do attitude with a proactive approach
