We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Commercial Account Executive to join an established and growing team. This is a client-facing role, responsible for driving new business opportunities, retaining and developing an existing portfolio, and supporting the delivery of exceptional client service and market-leading insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and deliver against agreed renewal retention and/or new business targets, contributing effectively to overall budget and KPI objectives.
- Champion a customer-led culture, ensuring high standards of client service, sales discipline, activity management, and best practice across all interactions.
- Conduct client meetings and visits, present risks to insurers, and secure competitive, best-in-market quotations for both new business and renewal opportunities.
- Manage and prioritise your diary, tasks, and workflow effectively, ensuring all systems and records remain accurate and up to date.
- Undertake all required training as directed, completing assigned learning activities and actions within agreed timeframes.
- Record and maintain all training and development evidence on your Continuous Professional Development (CPD) plan.
- Maintain an efficient diary and workflow system, including management of debt, outstanding account queries, documentation chasing, and renewal term progression.
About you
- Experience in commercial insurance within a brokerage or insurer environment.
- Proven track record of achieving new business or retention targets.
- Strong client relationship development skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities.
- Understanding of FCA regulations and insurance compliance requirements.
- Proactive, results-driven, and aligned with a high-performance, client-first culture.
