Looking for a Warehouse role to work Nights? Want weekdays only? Then look no further! We have 2 permanent opportunities to join our Warehouse Operative Nights team at Upper Poppleton, York, to support the picking and packing of our customers' purchases and retail store stock deliveries, Monday to Thursday 7pm to 6am (42 hours per week).
Please note the first 2 weeks will be daytime shifts, over Monday to Friday, to complete mandatory training.
A competitive hourly rate of £12.50 with an additional £3 per hour premium for night hours 10pm-6am making the night rate £15.50 per hour. PaSS training to increase your hourly rate to £13.00 and £16.00 per hour respectively at the night shift rate. Monthly pay.

We are looking for individuals who are happy being on their feet for long periods and enjoy a large amount of manual handling/lifting to cover the 100,000+ square foot Warehouse facility. You'll need to be comfortable with stairs and some heavier lifting at times, to support the warehouse with Goods In, with anything from 200 – 4000 cartons of delivery across multiple trailers. Working on Despatch to ensure deliveries leave the warehouse correctly and our customers, our retail Stores receive their stock in a timely fashion. Picking and packing of both home shopping and retail orders, either through our automation system or manually. There is always lots to do in our busy warehouse and of course whilst you're fulfilling orders and meeting KPI’s ensuring your area is clean and tidy and following H&S policies.

Snapshot of your duties as a Warehouse Operative - Nights:
- Unloading Goods in deliveries and shelving in appropriate Warehouse locations
- Maintain Goods in put away rates are in line with targets
- Loading outgoing shipments onto transport & off-loading inbound transport
- Processing Recalls and Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT’s)
- Maintaining a consistent stock picking rates to target
- Manually Packing Orders following the correct procedure and maintaining packing rate targets
- Keeping areas clean and tidy
- Following Company H & S policy
What you’ll need to be a Warehouse Operative - Nights:
- Ability to perform physically active tasks for long periods, whilst using initiative and maintaining a positive attitude
- Preferably have previous experience of working in a warehouse, picking and packing or retail environment
- Able to use computers and mobile devices to basic level (training provided), with a good level of literacy and numeracy
- Used to working in fast-paced environments
- Team player with good communication and timekeeping skills
