Role Description
This is a contract to manage the day-to-day assembly, logistics, and supply chain operations — ensuring that products are built, shipped, and stocked efficiently and accurately, supporting the smooth running of customer deliveries and supplier production. Managing the shipping of our products also is important to different sites around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee assembly runs in the workshop/warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and ensure all tools and materials are available.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure all units meet company standards.
Production Management
- Coordinate production runs with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Track order progress, ensure components arrive on schedule, and report any delays or quality issues.
- Maintain production schedules and communicate updates internally.
Shipping & Logistics
- Liaise with shipping and freight companies to manage inbound shipments (from suppliers) and outbound deliveries (to customers).
- Prepare and manage shipping documents, packing lists, and customs paperwork for international shipments.
- Track deliveries and resolve issues such as delays, damages, or incorrect quantities.
Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage and update the Unleashed ERP system to ensure accurate, real-time visibility of inventory, production orders, and fulfilment.
- Raise purchase orders and production orders within Unleashed, ensuring alignment with finance and operations teams.
- Order replacement parts and materials in line with production needs.
Continuous Improvement
- Suggest and implement process improvements across production, logistics, and stock management.
- Support the introduction of new systems and workflows as the company scales.
Qualifications
- Experience in assembly, warehousing, logistics, or production coordination.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Confident using Unleashed ERP stock management system or a similar inventory/production management system (e.g., Katana).
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and digital stock systems.
- Excellent communication with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams.
- Strong Procurement skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant experience in engineering or technology sectors is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Must-Haves
- Must be available 5 days a week on-site at our Wood Green, London factory, within walking distance of Wood Green Tube.
- Must have a good understanding or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have a can-do attitude and be a great communicator who can work well with engineers and management.
- Must be available to start immediately.
- Must have experience using ERP stock control software
