Your new company has developed a well-earned reputation for their work in Flood Risk Management. Currently undergoing a phase of growth, they work with a wide range of clients across the UK in both the public and private sectors, delivering civil and environmental projects with a heavy focus on sustainable development. They are looking to grow a team of solid civil engineers in Manchester!
Your new role involves assisting with project delivery and management, ensuring new commissions are delivered to the highest possible standard. You will:
- Help to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
- Work on the design and modelling of water designs, SuDS designs and hydraulic models
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing drainage conditions and identify opportunities for SuDS implementation
- Produce drawings (AutoCAD) and (Civil3D)
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for SuDS components, detailing design calculations and construction requirements
About you: As a Water and SuDS Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing sustainable drainage strategies for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal developments. This role would suit someone who has:
- Experience in highways drainage or in design of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
- Strong CAD skills (and Civils 3D experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
