Your new role involves managing and overseeing the highway maintenance operations within the field of highway engineering. This role will ensure the safe, efficient, and effective maintenance of highways, roads, and related infrastructure.

Your role will involve but won’t be limited to:

  • Heavily involved in all aspects of Planned Maintenance, from condition surveys and programme development through to site supervision of major resurfacing or repaving projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the team by offering ongoing support.
  • Carrying out consultations, liaising with external and internal stakeholders, whilst working as part of a team and assisting the Service Manager in developing Maintenance policies.
  • Responsible for the overall Planned Maintenance budget management and reporting on this on a monthly basis to the Service Manager.

  • Must hold a UK drivers licence.

  • Keen problem solver with the ability to work within a complex system and find simple solutions and outcomes that deliver real change.
