Your new company is based in Richmond, a few minutes' walk from the station. Their 60 strong team have developed a well-earned reputation for their work delivering civil and environmental engineering projects to meet the growing demands of our changing world. Currently undergoing a phase of growth, they work with a wide range of clients across the UK in both the public and private sectors, delivering civil and environmental projects with a heavy focus on sustainable development.

Your new role involves assisting with project delivery and management, ensuring new commissions are delivered to the highest possible standard. In short, you will be able to:

  • Help to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
  • Work on the design and modelling of drainage designs, SuDS designs and hydraulic models
  • Produce drawings (AutoCAD) and (Civil3D)
  • Conduct site evaluations to assess existing drainage infrastructure and identify areas for improvement

About you: We are seeking a Drainage Design Engineer with the skillset to thrive in a small and dynamic team. You should demonstrate:

  • A keen eye for detail is essential for identifying potential issues and ensuring plans are accurate
  • Effective communication is crucial for collaborating with colleagues, clients, and contractors
  • Must be able to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • While collaboration is important, drainage engineers also need to be able to work independently and take ownership of their tasks
  • Experience in highways drainage or in design of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
  • Strong CAD skills (Civils 3D experience preferred)
  • Experience in Micro Drainage or similar
  • Chartership with the relevant body or working towards chartership
