Your new role
The Bridge Structure Inspector is responsible for conducting detailed inspections and assessments of bridges to ensure their structural integrity and safety. This role involves identifying and documenting potential issues and ensuring compliance with regulations.
In short you will
- Carrying out Principal, General and Special Inspections and preparation of reports.
- Identify signs of wear, damage, and structural deficiencies.
- Monitor the implementation of safety protocols and repairs to mitigate risks.
- Assisting with programming of works, ensuring minimum disruption to the network.
- Prepare safe systems of work for site inspections and prepare site RAMS documents.
- Updating asset management records.
- Attending/assisting with network incidents as necessary.

- Bachelor\’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong understanding of engineering principles, bridge design, and construction materials.
- Keen observational skills to identify signs of wear, damage, or potential structural issues.
- Aptitude for diagnosing issues and proposing effective solutions.
