PAV Haulage Ltd is a leading provider of container haulage, warehousing, and logistics services throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Traffic Operator to join our team at our Felixstowe depot.
The Role
As a Traffic Operator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day planning and coordination of our transport operations. Working closely with drivers, customers, ports, and internal departments, you will help ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle movements.
- Allocate work to drivers and monitor progress throughout the day.
- Liaise with customers, drivers, ports, and third-party suppliers.
- Manage and update transport management systems and operational records.
- Monitor deliveries and collections, resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and transport regulations.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and communication.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a transport planning or traffic operator role.
- Experience within container haulage is preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with port operations, VBS bookings, and container transport planning would be advantageous.
