We’re looking for a portfolio pioneer with a sharp commercial mind and a deep love for food – as a Regional Portfolio Manager for World Foods, you’ll be the architect of tomorrow’s category-defining concepts and the winning portfolio, working across borders, from strategic vision to hands-on execution. You’ll be in the driver’s seat from A to Z—developing strategy, engaging with customers and stakeholders, and rolling up your sleeves to make sure ideas become real, flavorful products. Responsibilities
- Portfolio leadership: Own, evolve and steer your category portfolio. Lead revisions, optimize assortments, and identify white-spot opportunities that fuel growth through relevant NPDs and concepts. Ensure alignment across commercial, R&D, production, and our Branded Business Area.
- Innovation roadmap: Shape and execute the NPD pipeline as project lead and owner. Align innovation with commercial goals and ensure flawless execution from concept to shelf. Present relevant NPD to our Paulig innovation Board as project lead and secure documentation is in place in our project management system.
- Performance and strategy: Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and recommend actions to boost sales, profitability, and category relevance.
- Go-to-market excellence: Develop launch toolkits and go-to-market strategies with marketing that empower our commercial teams and resonate with customers.
- Business case development: Develop and present compelling business cases for new products and concepts. Your strategic thinking is the recipe for stakeholder buy-in.
- Engage with Customers: Collaborate closely with Commercial to lead key customer discussions and co-develop business cases. Shape portfolio settings with strategic customers to ensure relevance, growth potential, and alignment with our broader category vision.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Be the bridge between marketing, commercial, R&D, and sourcing. Share insights, challenge assumptions, and drive progress.
- Ambassadorship: Represent customer brands with pride. Engage proactively with stakeholders and customers to co-create the products of tomorrow.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–7 years in category management, portfolio or assortment strategy within FMCG. Experience with production is a plus.
- Education: Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Skills and mindset: Strategic thinker with operational agility and a proactive approach. You know the key mechanisms of Product Lifecycle Management. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Excel is a true friend of yours— as is crafting winning PowerPoint presentations. Commercially driven, results-oriented, and proactive. Power BI proficiency is a bonus. Courage to challenge, curiosity to explore, and commitment to deliver—with an international mindset. Fluent in English.
