Role Purpose
We are looking for a reliable and organised Operative to join our Assembly team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials required to build high-quality kitchen cabinets, helping production teams meet output and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and assembling components to produce high quality, proficiently put together cabinets
- Ensuring components are complete, accurate and prepared in line with production requirements
- Working closely with production teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Checking components for quality and reporting any issues or shortages
- Accurately recording stock movements and kit preparation data where required
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the Stores area to support health, safety and efficiency
- Adhering to all company and statutory health & safety procedures and reporting potential hazards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Stores and Production teams
Key Accountabilities
- Follow defined processes to ensure consistent quality and accuracy of kits
- Meet agreed output targets in collaboration with colleagues
- Take responsibility for own work quality and accuracy
- Promote a strong safety culture and stop unsafe practices when observed
- Contribute positively to teamwork and internal customer satisfaction
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment is desirable
- Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Well-organised with the ability to manage time effectively within a part-time schedule
- Positive, proactive and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly
