To work with the Head of Commercial with responsibility for financial matters within the Company, including the planning, management, co-ordination, and financial control of all aspects of the budget and re-forecasts. Responsibilities will include development of PAUL annual budget, end of month/year reports and audit preparation within governed financial guidelines, potential future business revenue streams, management information and analysis, systems, and IT project management.
Key Objectives
- Working with the Head of Commercial & Marketing and the finance team to provide the financial information required by the Board to make financial and strategic decisions.
- Financial management accounting within the Company
- Monthly financial reporting the UK Board.
- Provision of management information regarding financial performance
- Prepare information necessary to produce annual budgets, and periodic comparison of performance against budget.
- Re-forecasting on a regular basis in line with business needs
Responsibilities
Accounting and financial controls responsibilities
- Business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management, and reporting, including management and development of finance policies, systems, and accounting processes.
- Manage the budgeting and re-forecasting process including the formulation of annual budgets and targets.
- Manage the financial system, ensuring maximum productivity and that it meets the needs of the business today and the future.
- Work on the preparation and submission of weekly and monthly updates and presentations of accounts with recommendations
Procurement, Budgets: (cost controls, estate management and financial acumen)
- Monitor and manage budgets for reactive and planned maintenance for all existing sites.
- Oversee strategies for cost savings in utilities purchases.
- Monitor records of maintenance expenditure, accounting, costing, and billing to be within budget
- Manage, track and report on all expenses and ensure that all activities are delivered within that budget.
Skills & Technical Requirements
- An exceptional Accountant with at least 5 years’ experience in a commercial business
- Ideally member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or similar
- Excellent IT skills and use of Microsoft applications
- Possesses a good understanding of financial and accounting applications, programming, and databases.
- Ability in speaking French is helpful.
