We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in Nottingham. This role is responsible for wholesale and retail sales reporting including commission and bonus calculations, analysis of seasonal sales and other ad hoc finance projects. You will also assist the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with the detailed financial planning and forecasting process, including the company budget.
The Role- Take ownership of weekly and monthly retail sales reporting for senior management, as well as seasonal updates and budget loads.
- Be responsible for the calculation of global retail commission and bonus schemes.
- Prepare seasonal wholesale sales reports to monitor sales by collection, customer, channel and country.
- Deliver analysis of wholesale performance during selling periods and at season close.
- Support the preparation of the annual company budget and forecast for all the companies, departments, income, and expenditure within the group.
- Assist with various departmental spending reviews on a periodic basis to highlight any significant over/under-spends compared to budget or risks.
- Continually seek improvements to systems and processes and find opportunities to streamline and automate the current reporting portfolio.
- Provide modelling and analytical support on ad hoc projects.
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
- Experience working with large datasets and producing accurate and timely reports.
- Familiarity with financial analysis, variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Advanced user of Excel, plus good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using PowerBI or other reporting tools would be a plus.
- Highly numerate, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Approachable and able to build effective working relationships at all levels.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work to set deadlines.
- An interest in fashion or retail is desirable.
