Paul Smith has an exciting opportunity for a talented part‑time Stockroom Assistant to join the team in our Bicester Village Store. As Stockroom Assistant you will assist with deliveries of all stock into the shop, ensuring accurate booking, unpacking and placement of items. You will liaise with the Inventory & Systems Manager to support and maintain best practice in all aspects of stock and inventory policies. As a Paul Smith brand ambassador, you should embody our Retail Values and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head office Inventory & Systems team on stock management processes, housekeeping and cycle counts to maintain inventory levels in store and providing regular feedback on any stock‑related issues.
- Completing the weekly stock management checklists to ensure all Operations processes are adhered to.
- Being present at the shop at the time of the deliveries, to assist with unloading the delivery van and organising all relevant paperwork for the driver.
- Removing the delivery to the stockroom and booking it in using the scanner and/or manually against the pack notes, ensuring all discrepancies are recorded.
- Ensuring all discrepancies are given to the Stock Control Assistants so they can raise the query with the Warehouse.
- Identifying and managing faulty stock and stock without barcode tickets and ensuring these items are fully recorded.
- Ensuring all stock leaving the shop is booked out correctly and sent as quickly as possible, with all paperwork completed correctly.
- Providing an ‘above and beyond’ experience to ensure unique customer interaction, resulting in a high level of repeat business throughout your shop.
- Assisting in stock takes on a weekly basis in liaison with Shop Management Team and Retail Office and ensuring that the stock take results are downloaded onto the till system, reporting all findings to the Shop Management Team.
- Ensuring visual presentation, store maintenance and housekeeping is kept to the company’s desired standard, both on and off the shop floor.
