Role Overview
As a Trainee Car Sales Executive at Paul Rigby Ltd, you will be the face of the dealership, responsible for building strong, lasting relationships with clients and driving sales within the automotive sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to a dynamic, high‑performing team. In this role, you will work with the latest Volvo models, including the Volvo EX60 and ES90, gaining in-depth knowledge across both fully electric and plug‑in hybrid ranges. You will also have access to official Volvo training and development programmes, giving you the opportunity to become a certified product specialist and build expert knowledge of Volvo’s innovative technologies and customer experience standards. A key part of your role will involve working with the latest electric vehicle (EV) technology, helping customers understand the benefits of electrification, advanced safety systems, and Volvo’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their automotive needs and recommend suitable products and services.
- Support the sales team in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-ups using our CRM system.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and quotations to customers.
- Develop a strong understanding of our product range, including vehicles, parts, and automotive services.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Work closely with the marketing and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Contribute ideas for improving sales processes and customer engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
