The Role

As an Apprentice Accounts Assistant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting activities and gaining hands‑on experience in a professional environment.

This full‑time, permanent role offers comprehensive training and development opportunities designed to build your skills and knowledge in the accountancy field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing invoices and purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Support the preparation and reconciliation of financial records, including bank statements and ledgers.
  • Help maintain accurate records of company expenses and ensure timely data entry.
  • Collaborate with the team to support month‑end and year‑end accounting procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding account queries.
  • Assist in preparing reports and financial summaries as required.
  • Develop an understanding of accounting software and financial systems used within the company.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum GCSEs grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • A keen interest in accountancy and finance with a desire to learn and develop professionally.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to take on new challenges.
