Location: Leicester
Our client – a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Leicester – is seeking a part or fully qualified Senior Auditor to join their friendly team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to work with a broad range of exciting, diverse clients. Supporting the Manager, this role will be a mixture of Audit and Accounts Preparation. We are looking for a candidate with good experience gained in public practice.
The Role
- Contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring assignments are managed and work is completed in a timely manner.
- Plan and undertake audit and independent examination assignments of companies and also specialist assignments such as charities and pension schemes.
- Prepare financial statements for limited companies.
- Support and develop trainee accountants with their assignments.
- Deliver an excellent level of customer service, managing and exceeding client expectations, responding to all ad hoc queries in a timely manner.
- Maintain up to date technical knowledge and attend all relevant training, conferences, and seminars.
- Manage all work efficiently, profitably, and in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
The Right Person
- Qualified or Part qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Demonstrable audit and accounts experience working in a fast-paced accountancy practice.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Effective & confident communication skills dealing with clients & colleagues.
- Highly organised with excellent planning, organisation & deadline timekeeping skills.
- Strong IT skills incl. Sage Accounts, Iris, Xero & Microsoft Excel to a good standard.
Package
- Appointment Type: Permanent.
- Salary: Competitive (subject to experience) £30-£50K.
