Ready to build a finance function from the ground up? We’re looking for a hands‑on Group Finance Controller to take full ownership of finance across a growing UK‑based consumer products group.
About Us
Our client is an ambitious UK manufacturer operating across a range of products supplying the wellness market. With a team of around 15 and turnover of £1‑2M, it has recently restructured and is now entering an exciting phase of growth.
The Opportunity
This is a standalone finance role reporting directly to the Managing Director. You’ll have full ownership from day one—building the finance function, shaping reporting, and providing the commercial insight needed to support scale. You’ll be supported with admin for basic tasks, but this is a true “roll up your sleeves” opportunity to create structure and make a real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and manage P&Ls across multiple group entities
- Set up financial reporting, controls, and processes from scratch
- Deliver clear commercial insights to support business growth
- Oversee manufacturing costs, margins, and production analysis
- Manage e-commerce and marketplace financial performance
- Handle intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and group structure
- Take ownership of payroll, VAT, and HMRC compliance
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have strong experience in manufacturing finance, including costing and margin analysis
- Understand e‑commerce or marketplace business models
- Are confident building finance functions from the ground up
- Have experience working across multi‑entity structures
- Are commercially minded and comfortable operating in evolving or complex environments
- Are happy owning end‑to‑end finance, including compliance and payroll
Your Background
You may be part‑qualified, fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), or qualified by experience. What matters most is hands‑on SME experience in a similar role.
