We are a long-running high street practice in central Middlesbrough. Our firm has a great reputation for providing high-quality representation to private and publicly funded clients and prides itself on offering a caring and sympathetic approach. You will be dealing with Private Law children matters and Injunctions (not civil), together with PLO/Care Proceedings. There is administrative support in what is a small team. You will be responsible for all aspects of client care, matter progression, and financial management of your caseload.
We are looking for a Family Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with excellent attention to detail, who is enthusiastic and driven, with a strong work ethic and the ability to build and maintain networks, bring in new clients, and assist with business development. The successful candidate will be a proactive person who is fully committed to progressing the role, and those with a proven track record in a similar position would have a distinct advantage. Opportunities are available for the candidate to be a Supervisor in the Department and develop to running the Department as HoD.
Whilst we believe the caseload would suit a candidate of 3 years+ PQE, we are happy to consider any qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer who believes they meet our requirements for the role. The salary will be dependent upon the level of experience you can bring to our team. Panel membership is not essential but would also be an advantage. We are a Resolution Family Team and you would be required to become a member of Resolution upon joining the firm and to commit to its Code of Conduct. Legal Aid Supervisor Experience would be an advantage, but is something which can be worked towards.
The position is full time, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. We have a small, friendly team and offer a genuine opportunity for a longstanding career and future progression. Strong interpersonal skills are therefore desirable. We will be applying a bonus scheme to the Supervisor/HoD role, which can be discussed in further detail in the interview. The office is closed for the Christmas Period, allowing an extended break over the season.
Ability to commute/relocate: Middlesbrough TS1 2ES: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required). Work Location: In person.
