Overview
Senior Electrical Engineer β Day Shift (Manufacturing) role at Paul Garvey Personal Training.
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: Β£45,000-Β£50,000 per annum
Hours: 8:00-16:00 Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5 engineers, assigning daily workloads and ensuring deadlines are met
- Develop and manage planned preventative maintenance schedules using CMMS
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical control systems, mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, hydraulics, inverters, and 3-phase equipment
- Carry out fault finding and minor alterations to Allen & Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Support site safety initiatives including writing risk assessments and safe operating procedures
- Manage small engineering projects and liaise with suppliers for parts and services
- Supervise external contractors, issue permits to work, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Maintain statutory records and ensure all engineering work complies with safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a similar manufacturing and/or production environment (essential)
- HNC or ONC qualified, apprentice trained engineer alongside 17th and/or 18th edition wiring regulations (essential)
- Strong PLC fault-finding and minor alteration experience (essential)
- Strong knowledge of inverters, drives, hydraulics and pneumatic systems (essential)
- IOSH / NEBOSH Certified manager and/or supervisor (advantageous)
- CMI level or above in leadership and/or management (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence
Package & Benefits
- Overtime available and paid at 1.5x Monday to Saturday / 2x on Sundays
- Optional Call out allowance of Β£150 for being on call + Β£77 if called out for 1 hour or less / any call out over an hour is paid at 1.5x
