We are looking for an experienced Fabrication & Welding Production Manager to take charge of a busy and dynamic production environment. You will oversee daily operations, ensuring workflows run smoothly, teams are supported, and all outputs meet the highest safety and quality standards. This is a key leadership role with real influence over production performance and operational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations within the fabrication and welding workshop
- Develop and control production schedules to meet project timelines and client expectations
- Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently to maximise productivity
- Ensure all fabrication and welding work adheres to industry standards, technical specifications, and quality procedures
- Monitor production KPIs, driving improvements in output, efficiency, and quality
- Champion continuous improvement across all fabrication processes
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and supervisory teams to support seamless project delivery
- Maintain exceptional safety performance and promote best practice across the facility
- Oversee staff development, including coaching, skills training, and performance reviews
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role within fabrication and welding
- Strong working knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding processes, and relevant standards (e.g., BS/EN ISO)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confident leader able to inspire, mentor, and drive high-performing teams
- Solid understanding of workshop HSE regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to interpret and work from complex technical drawings
- Strong communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
