Role: Day Shift Maintenance Engineer
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £38,500–£40,000 / £18.50 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (40 hours per week) | Callout Rota 1 in 4 (£50 per callout)

The Client
Interaction Technical are supporting a well-established printing firm based in Kettering on their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. Our client works with both national and international blue-chip companies within multi-billion pound industries, providing and manufacturing marketing material by utilising their state-of-the-art printing facility. The client is now looking to add a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to their day shift team and offer a great opportunity to work within an exciting industry, for a growing yet well-established company.

The Duties
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on printing machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults
- Support production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
- Participate in a 1-in-4 callout rota, ensuring rapid response to urgent issues
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to health & safety standards
The Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar multiskilled maintenance role, ideally within a printing or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
