Job role: CNC Machinist

Salary: £33,000-£37,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30-18:00 Friday 07:30-16:00

Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays

We are supporting a manufacturing company in Northampton, in their search for a CNC Machinist.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to learn the industry, improve your skills and develop.

Position Summary

  • Under limited supervision, prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks which include drilling, milling and grinding.
  • Keep records of materials and time used on jobs.
  • Support engineering and production with any changes to machine build.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
  • Prepare and load raw materials onto the machinery.
  • Support engineering with parts for research and development.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

  • CNC and manual machining knowledge and 3+ years experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • General problem-solving skills and practical aptitude.
  • Mechanical skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 would be advantageous.
